About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead the design, development, and optimization of SAP BW on HANA and SAP BW/4HANA solutions
- Develop data models, data flows, and ETL processes
- Develop analytics, reporting, and dashboard solutions supporting business decision-making
- Define development standards, best practices, and architectural consistency across the SAP Data & Analytics landscape
- Collaborate with business stakeholders and IT teams to translate requirements into effective data solutions
- Contribute to Outokumpu's data and analytics strategy
- Ensure data quality, performance, reliability, and continuous improvement of analytics platforms
- Evaluate and adopt new SAP technologies, including SAP Datasphere and SAP Analytics Cloud
- Lead development work and mentor others
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's/Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience
- Several years of SAP BW development and implementation experience
- Strong expertise in SAP BW/4HANA, including data modeling, ETL development, and HANA-native modelling using Calculation Views
- Extensive experience designing scalable and high-performance data solutions
- Experience with SAP HANA, SAP BusinessObjects, SAP Analytics solutions, and SAP S/4HANA environments
- Proven ability to lead development work, establish technical standards, and mentor others
- Experience integrating SAP BW data with non-SAP applications and enterprise data platforms such as PowerBI and Databricks
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Required to pass a security clearance vetting before commencing employment
