Key responsibilities & impact

Review architectural, landscape and structural drawings submitted by construction companies
Complete accurate take-offs and determine planter box size and footprint
Apply commercial judgement to determine job scope
Determine stiffener arrangement, quantity and placement for each planter box
Use SolidWorks for product design and drafting
Produce practical, fabrication-ready drafting outputs
Undertake structural and stress analysis, especially for high-rise balustrade applications
Determine anchoring and bolting-to-ground arrangements
Quote jobs using the company's standard estimating formulas
Produce customer approval drawings for won jobs
Produce fabrication drawings and cut-ready files for cutting, folding and shop-floor fabrication
Support other departments, such as general estimation or laser-machine programming, during quieter periods
Progress from internal review to direct customer liaison as confidence builds

Requirements

What you’ll need

7–10 years of hands-on experience in structural drafting and stress/structural analysis for fabricated products such as tanks, pressure vessels or retention structures where side-wall stress under load must be calculated
High proficiency in SolidWorks
A structural engineering background, through formal qualification or clearly demonstrated equivalent competency, sufficient to produce structural/stress analysis reports comparable to local council or regulatory sign-off standard
Philippine certification/qualification is accepted as equivalent validation; Australian registration is not required
Ability to undertake detailed structural/stress analysis of planter boxes used as high-rise balustrades, including anchoring/bolting-to-ground arrangements and stiffener placement
Ability to validate designs against relevant construction and project specifications
Confident, independent reading and interpretation of architectural, landscape and structural drawings
Demonstrated take-off experience
Accurate structural drafting within the company's established planter box design
Commercial judgement regarding job scope inclusions and exclusions
Ability to produce customer-facing approval drawings and factory-ready fabrication/cut-ready files
Availability for standard full-time, eight-hour days, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM Philippine time, Monday to Friday
Ability to work as a dedicated, embedded member of a single company's team
