About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for national linear television across Broadcast, Cable, and Syndication
  • Develop and execute media strategies and negotiation approaches aligned with client growth goals
  • Identify synergies across network partners and media channels, including Broadcast, Cable, Programmatic, and CTV
  • Support cross-functional marketing strategy projects with deep video media expertise
  • Provide expertise on video and audio's role in delivering client goals
  • Lead day-to-day negotiations, execution, and stewardship for national linear television buys
  • Develop strategic media recommendations covering budget, flighting, performance KPIs, unit length splits, and partner considerations
  • Provide media recommendations informed by audience, reach, frequency, and delivery goals
  • Maintain relationships with national TV partners and sales representatives
  • Review client business performance and adjust buy approaches
  • Pull regular reporting and analyze data to inform optimizations and buy adjustments
  • Manage media invoice reconciliation, including electronic invoice imports, schedule matching, discrepancy troubleshooting, makegoods, and creative traffic rotations
  • Report budgets and delivery for client reporting, including post-invoice actualization
  • Gather post-buys and ensure clients receive owed delivery
  • Send traffic instructions and creative assets to network partners
  • Develop custom analysis and insights connecting video investment to client business performance
  • Translate data into actionable stories for internal teams and clients
  • Contribute to client-facing communications and presentations
  • Work toward program objectives and KPIs, raising concerns and proposing solutions
  • Build trust and credibility with clients and internal stakeholders
  • Contribute to recruiting, onboarding, and mentoring new team members
  • Maintain collaborative relationships across agency teams

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 5+ years of experience directly responsible for national linear television buying
  • Strong communication and client relationship management skills
  • Proven track record driving positive results through national linear channels
  • Mastery of national TV media buying across Broadcast, Cable, and Syndication
  • STRATA/FreeWheel media buying system experience, including invoice reconciliation, preferred
  • Pricing estimation using SQAD and/or industry intelligence
  • External partner and network relationship management
  • Hands-on experience with programmatic video and/or CTV buying preferred
  • Familiarity with DSPs, auction-based buying, and integrating programmatic and linear strategies preferred
  • Previous experience in performance marketing, retail, or eCommerce environments preferred
  • Familiarity with local television, radio, or regional buying preferred
  • Experience mentoring or managing junior team members preferred
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States for any employer on a full-time basis, without current or future need for visa sponsorship
