About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Own OQC’s global marketing campaigns and shape market position, brand presence, PR profile and commercial growth
- Develop and lead multi-channel marketing strategies across digital channels, press and events
- Translate corporate priorities into coordinated campaigns and direction for the marketing team
- Champion the OQC brand across newsletters, social media, websites, blogs and promotional materials
- Lead public relations strategy, including press releases, pitches, distribution and collaboration with leadership, technical experts and agencies
- Develop and lead account-based marketing and lead-generation activity with Commercial to support revenue and pipeline growth
- Manage HubSpot workflows, automations, campaigns and reporting
- Use HubSpot, GA4 and AgilityPR to assess engagement, commercial impact and ROI and present recommendations to senior leadership
- Manage suppliers, briefs and budgets
- Support event promotion, logistics and materials, including on-site setup, breakdown and coordination
- Line-manage one or two Marketing Managers, developing capabilities, setting priorities and providing feedback
- Coordinate global and local marketing activity across markets and channels
- Work directly on campaign development, content review and promotional and practical event delivery
Requirements
What you’ll need- Experience developing marketing strategies and independently leading integrated campaigns from initial planning through execution, measurement and optimisation
- Direct line-management experience, including setting objectives, prioritising workloads, providing constructive feedback and supporting professional development
- Experience delivering account-based marketing or lead-generation activity in close partnership with sales or commercial teams
- Strong writing and editing skills, with experience developing engaging scientific or technical content alongside subject-matter experts
- Hands-on HubSpot expertise, including building workflows, managing marketing automation and producing campaign reports
- Practical experience across email marketing, social media, press and media activity
- Strong analytical skills and a track record of using data to demonstrate results, improve campaign performance and optimise return on investment
- Experience managing global, multi-channel marketing projects and delivering marketing activity within a start-up environment
- Experience building and maintaining supplier relationships, managing briefs and budgets, and ensuring work meets expectations
- Strategic judgement, initiative and attention to detail
- Marketing experience within quantum computing, deep technology or a research-and-development-led organisation is nice to have
- Previous experience managing other Marketing Managers is nice to have
- Familiarity with GA4 and AgilityPR is nice to have
- Knowledge of search-engine optimisation is nice to have
- A Chartered Institute of Marketing qualification, such as CIM Level 4 or the Level 6 Diploma in Professional Marketing, is nice to have
