About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Own operational delivery and administration of Health & Welfare benefit programs
  • Oversee Health & Welfare vendor partnerships, governance, performance, service delivery, issue resolution, and continuous improvement
  • Serve as escalation point for complex benefits matters, employee appeals, claims, eligibility disputes, vendor escalations, and sensitive employee situations
  • Lead Annual Enrollment operations end-to-end, including planning, system configuration, testing, vendor coordination, integrations, communications, audit controls, and issue resolution
  • Analyze benefits data, operational metrics, employee feedback, and vendor performance to identify trends, risks, and recommendations
  • Collaborate with HR, Finance, Communications, Legal, Shared Services, Payroll, HRIS, and IT stakeholders
  • Oversee operational reporting, dashboards, and performance metrics
  • Lead compliance activities for ACA, HIPAA, ERISA, COBRA, Section 125, and applicable regulations
  • Lead operational projects and benefit implementations
  • Oversee benefits-related audits, reconciliations, and financial controls
  • Oversee Workday and external vendor benefits-data integrations
  • Assist with vendor contracting, risk ranking, and due diligence
  • Provide oversight of company time off policies and programs
  • Stay current on industry trends, best practices, and legislative changes

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 5+ years of experience managing Health & Welfare vendor partnerships
  • Experience leading end-to-end Annual Enrollment operations
  • Strong knowledge of Health & Welfare benefits regulations and compliance requirements, including ACA, HIPAA, ERISA, COBRA, Section 125, and applicable state and federal regulations
  • Proficiency in benefits systems and MS Office Suite
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Working knowledge of Workday and Alight systems preferred
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to interpret complex data, identify trends and risks, develop insights, and make actionable recommendations
  • Excellent communication, consultation, and relationship management skills
  • Ability to partner effectively with employees, vendors, leaders, and cross-functional stakeholders
  • Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and lead initiatives
  • Experience administering and interpreting company time off policies and programs
  • Ability to monitor and understand health and welfare benefits regulations and compliance requirements
