About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Own solution discovery from business capability through technical implementation
Partner with Product, Solution Architects, SMEs, QA, and engineering teams to define scalable, implementable solution paths
Produce implementation-ready technical designs, user stories, data mappings, API specifications, and solution documentation
Validate solution approaches against enterprise architecture, security, compliance, and governance standards
Design, develop, enhance, and maintain enterprise applications using modern software engineering practices
Contribute production-quality code while improving application reliability, maintainability, and performance
Use GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude, and similar AI tools to accelerate analysis, coding, testing, debugging, and documentation
Collaborate with Solution Architects to evaluate technical tradeoffs and establish scalable solution patterns
Mentor developers through design discussions, code reviews, and engineering best practices
Drive simplification, automation, reuse, and reduction of technical debt across the application portfolio

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or related discipline
6+ years designing, developing, and delivering enterprise software solutions
Experience with Python, React, APIs, SQL, integration technologies, or comparable enterprise platforms
Experience translating business capabilities into scalable technical solutions
Experience partnering with Product Owners, Solution Architects, and cross-functional engineering teams
Experience leveraging AI-assisted software development tools
Strong understanding of enterprise application architecture, cloud-native development, integration patterns, and the software delivery lifecycle
Experience within insurance or financial services
Experience with enterprise architecture principles and solution governance
AWS Certifications, such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate or AWS Certified Developer
Experience leading technical solution design across multiple teams
Excellent communication and stakeholder collaboration skills
