About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Perform CAD and Revit work
- Conduct energy modeling
- Perform design calculations
- Design HVAC ductwork, hydronic, and plumbing layouts
- Participate in construction administration and site visits
- Support commissioning
- Gather weather and climatic data and support eco-charrettes
- Analyze energy and water data, including EUI and WUI
- Prepare general project timelines and overviews
- Assist with specifications
- Prepare site visit/site observation reports
- Review and prepare cost estimates
- Support M/E coordination schedules
- Work directly as part of PAE engineering and design teams
- Gain experience across planning, execution, and problem solving for sustainable building design projects
Requirements
What you’ll need- 3rd year undergraduate student preferred
- Desire to work in the Building Design industry
- Passionate about sustainable design solutions
- Effective communicator
- Mechanical coursework: Thermodynamics
- Mechanical coursework: Fluid Dynamics
- Mechanical coursework: Heat Transfer
- Building Sciences preferred
- HVAC preferred
- Ability to work in one of PAE's major office locations
