About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop and maintain Java applications, following software development best practices.
  • Participate in gathering and understanding business and technical requirements with support from the team.
  • Assist in preparing and updating technical documentation, workflows, and diagrams.
  • Implement enhancements and fixes for existing systems.
  • Support the identification and resolution of application issues through code analysis and debugging.
  • Collaborate with more experienced developers on the evolution and maintenance of systems.
  • Participate in technical discussions and contribute suggestions for product and process improvements.
  • Develop and maintain unit and integration tests.
  • Support the development and maintenance of APIs and services.
  • Work with multidisciplinary teams using Agile methodologies.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree completed or in progress in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of Java development.
  • Basic knowledge of relational databases and SQL (Oracle, MySQL, or PostgreSQL).
  • Knowledge of version control using Git.
  • Knowledge of Agile methodologies, such as Scrum or Kanban.
  • Knowledge of object-oriented programming and basic design pattern concepts.
  • Knowledge of automated testing using JUnit, Mockito, or similar frameworks.
  • Familiarity with Spring Boot is a plus.
  • Familiarity with continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) tools is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Python and Artificial Intelligence applications is a plus.
