About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Work with BDD, TDD, and pull requests, promoting continuous code review.
Collaborate as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Work using an incremental development methodology.
Track deliveries and assess the impact of changes on customer relationships.
Contribute to the continuous modernization of the codebase, migrating from MVP to MVVM/MVI, from XML to Jetpack Compose, and from RxJava to Coroutines/Flow.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
Experience developing native Android applications.
Experience with AndroidX / Jetpack and Material Design.
Experience working across different device form factors, including tablets and smartphones.
Experience with Git.
Experience with quality-focused delivery processes, including testing and continuous integration.
Experience with Kotlin.
Experience using Jetpack Compose to build user interfaces.
Knowledge of Jetpack libraries, including Navigation, Lifecycle, ViewModel, and Paging.
Experience with design patterns and the SOLID, KISS, and DRY principles; dependency injection; interfaces; and unit testing.
Knowledge of MVVM and/or MVI architectures, unidirectional data flow, Clean Architecture, and modularized projects.
Knowledge of UI test automation using Compose Testing and Espresso for legacy View-based screens.
Experience with reactive and asynchronous programming using Coroutines and Flow; RxJava experience is a plus for legacy codebases.
Experience with monitoring tools such as New Relic, Google Analytics, and Firebase Crashlytics, among others.
Experience with Android libraries such as Retrofit and Koin; Dagger/Hilt experience is a plus.
Experience using AI-powered coding assistants such as GitHub Copilot, Claude, and similar tools.
Strong critical judgment when reviewing and validating AI-generated code.
Additional knowledge considered a plus: C, Bluetooth, printers, Jenkins or other CI/CD platforms, Bluetooth API, SonarQube, Google Play distribution, Scrum, Kanban, Design Systems, feature toggles, gradual rollouts, Paging 3, and fintech application security.
