Key responsibilities & impact

Develop and enhance back-end applications using Java and Spring Boot
Design and implement solutions based on distributed architectures and microservices
Develop scalable, resilient, and highly available solutions, taking performance and security into account
Develop and maintain event-driven solutions using Apache Kafka
Implement and integrate REST APIs for communication between systems and services
Develop and optimize integrations and asynchronous processing workflows
Evaluate and propose improvements to application architecture and performance
Implement automated tests and apply best practices for code quality and maintainability
Identify and resolve technical issues, contributing to application stability and reliability
Monitor applications and analyze metrics, logs, and performance indicators
Contribute to the evolution of development, automation, and continuous integration processes
Apply best practices for security, resilience, and fault tolerance

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
Solid experience developing systems using Java
Experience with Spring Boot and back-end application development
Experience with distributed architectures and microservices
Experience with highly scalable, highly available, and high-performance systems
Experience with event-driven architecture
Experience with Apache Kafka, including producers and consumers
Experience with REST APIs and JSON
Experience with relational databases and SQL
Experience with unit testing, automated testing, and TDD
Experience with code refactoring, Clean Code, and software engineering best practices
Experience in Unix and Linux environments
Experience with monitoring and observability tools, such as New Relic
Knowledge of object-oriented programming, design patterns, data structures, algorithms, and complexity analysis
Knowledge of concurrent programming, troubleshooting, and debugging
Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes
Knowledge of DevOps, CI/CD, and Jenkins
Knowledge of resilience, fault tolerance, and communication between distributed systems
Knowledge of software development security
Technical English proficiency for reading documentation
Preferred experience: AWS, cloud computing, NoSQL databases, GraphQL, asynchronous processing, large volumes of data, advanced observability, mission-critical systems, high availability, agile methodologies, and Java/AWS certifications
