About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Serve as a technical reference in Software Quality, promoting testing best practices and a quality culture across teams.
  • Actively participate in business and technical refinement sessions, contributing to the early identification of risks and functional and non-functional gaps.
  • Apply Shift Left practices, contributing from the earliest stages of solution design to ensure quality from the start of development.
  • Plan testing strategies and define scenarios, acceptance criteria, and appropriate coverage for new features.
  • Lead test automation initiatives, prioritizing critical scenarios and those with the greatest business value.
  • Perform functional, integration, exploratory, regression, and non-functional testing.
  • Ensure the quality of distributed solutions, synchronous and asynchronous integrations, APIs, and microservices.
  • Support developers in building and maintaining unit, component, and integration tests.
  • Conduct technical analyses using logs, metrics, traces, database queries, and observability tools.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in quality processes, tools, and practices.
  • Support the definition and tracking of product quality indicators and metrics.
  • Investigate and address incidents, promoting preventive actions to avoid recurrence.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Experience planning, designing, executing, and automating tests.
  • Experience testing REST APIs using Postman, Swagger, or similar tools.
  • Experience automating tests using Rest Assured, Cypress, Playwright, or equivalent frameworks.
  • Experience with BDD, Gherkin, and Cucumber.
  • Knowledge of programming logic and languages such as Java or Kotlin.
  • Experience with SQL and relational and non-relational databases.
  • Ability to write queries and validate data directly in databases.
  • Experience with integration testing and end-to-end flow validation.
  • Experience using mocks, stubs, and simulators to validate external dependencies.
  • Knowledge of microservices architecture, APIs, gateways, and distributed integrations.
  • Knowledge of asynchronous systems and messaging (Kafka, RabbitMQ, AWS SQS, or similar technologies).
  • Experience validating events, topics, queues, and asynchronous processing.
  • Experience with observability and troubleshooting using Grafana, Datadog, New Relic, Kibana, Splunk, or similar tools.
  • Ability to investigate failures through logs, metrics, traces, and monitoring.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or equivalent solutions.
  • Experience with Git and version control strategies.
  • Knowledge of non-functional testing, including performance, load, stress, capacity, and resilience testing.
  • Experience with tools such as JMeter, Gatling, or k6.
  • Knowledge of cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
  • Experience validating integrations involving cloud services such as Lambda, S3, DynamoDB, and equivalent services.
  • Experience with Quality Gates and quality metrics.
  • Experience working in high-scale environments and distributed architectures.
  • Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Experience with Contract Testing (Pact or similar tools).
  • Knowledge of SRE practices and system reliability.
  • Certifications related to Software Quality.
  • Experience in the financial services, payments, collections, or credit sectors.
  • Use of Artificial Intelligence to generate test cases.
  • Use of AI agents and copilots to support requirements analysis and scenario design.
  • Assisted creation of test automation using AI tools.
  • Automated analysis of failures, logs, and execution evidence.
  • Experience with GitHub Copilot, Microsoft Copilot, Cursor, Claude, or similar tools.
