About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Build relationships with investors who directly back private companies
- Research active investors, including their investment focus, stage, and check size
- Write initial outreach messages to family offices, angels, and early-stage funds
- Convert investor replies into calls
- Qualify investors and book meetings with founders whose opportunities fit their investment criteria
- Maintain and qualify the investor network
- Work directly with the two co-founders and investor team
- Learn how the company screens opportunities and makes diligence decisions
Requirements
What you’ll need- Experience working around venture capital, as an analyst, scout, at an accelerator, or in a role close to deals
- Ability to name interesting venture capital rounds from this year
- Ability to write short, specific messages to strangers that generate replies
- Ability to maintain a high pace without compromising quality
- Ability to follow a process independently
- Understanding of funding-round basics, including stage, check size, SAFE versus priced rounds, and why an investor passes
- Discretion regarding investor information
- Daily use of AI tools with clear judgment about appropriate applications
- Do not include investor names in the application
