About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Oversee significant portions of Palantir's Corporate Accounting team
- Develop and implement transformational improvements and quality initiatives across the Accounting & Finance organization
- Support senior accounting leadership by developing strategies that prioritize team development, scalability, and value creation
- Partner cross-functionally with key teams, build and maintain relationships, and collaborate to deliver results
- Ensure high-quality work produced by the team
- Support one-off projects and initiatives
- Improve the overall quality and speed of accounting work-product delivery
- Build and leverage cross-functional relationships across the company to deliver greater value to Finance and other internal teams
- Exercise sound judgment and ensure accounting conclusions are documented in reconciliations and technical memos in accordance with current policies and guidance
- Communicate and present complex topics to leadership while retaining the ability to work at a detailed level
- Identify, design, and implement technology-enabled process improvements
- Leverage internal tools to automate workflows, improve data quality and visibility, strengthen controls, and enable the Accounting team to focus on higher-value work
Requirements
What you’ll need- 8+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience
- At least 4+ years of experience at a large international public accounting firm
- CPA or equivalent certification is preferred
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to maintain accuracy in work products and multitask in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Significant experience with accounting and finance systems, implementations, enhancements, and overall use of technology to scale the function
- Ability to solve non-traditional or undefined problems creatively and analytically
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Sound judgment and composure in high-pressure situations
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to communicate and present complex topics to leadership in an accessible format
