About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Oversee significant portions of Palantir's Corporate Accounting team
  • Develop and implement transformational improvements and quality initiatives across the Accounting & Finance organization
  • Support senior accounting leadership by developing strategies that prioritize team development, scalability, and value creation
  • Partner cross-functionally with key teams and build and maintain relationships
  • Support senior leadership by ensuring high-quality work produced by the team
  • Support one-off projects and initiatives
  • Improve the overall quality and speed of accounting work-product delivery
  • Build and leverage cross-functional relationships to deliver greater value to Finance and internal teams
  • Exercise sound judgment and document accounting conclusions in reconciliations and technical memos according to current policies and guidance
  • Communicate and present complex topics to leadership in an accessible format while working at a detailed level as needed
  • Identify, design, and implement technology-enabled process improvements
  • Leverage internal tools to automate workflows, improve data quality and visibility, strengthen controls, and enable the Accounting team to focus on higher-value work

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 8+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience
  • At least 4+ years of experience at a large international public accounting firm
  • CPA or equivalent certification is preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to maintain accuracy in work products and multitask in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Significant experience with accounting and finance systems, implementations, enhancements, and use of technology to scale the function
  • Ability to solve traditional, non-traditional, or undefined problems creatively and analytically
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Sound judgment and composure in high-pressure situations
  • Ability to ground decisions in data
  • Discretion and integrity in all interactions
