About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Partner with sales teams to meet and exceed sales quotas through strategic technical account plans
- Position, demonstrate, and design security architectures across the Palo Alto Networks portfolio
- Architect complex network security, security operations, and cloud security environments
- Drive customer adoption of the Palo Alto Networks security platform
- Conduct technical discovery and align solutions with customer needs
- Lead proof-of-concept engagements, technical workshops, and product demonstrations
- Collaborate with Professional Services, Customer Success, Specialist, Customer Support, and Channel Partner teams
- Communicate complex security concepts to technical and executive stakeholders
- Promote end-to-end security solutions and partner professional services
- Monitor industry trends, competitive landscapes, and emerging security threats
- Contribute to personal development, the District Systems Engineer community, and industry events
- Develop cross-training and platform expertise across SOC, Cloud, Networking, and NetSec
- Grow toward portfolio architect and CTO/CIO/CISO-level leadership responsibilities
- Design and architect large, complex environments
- Build and maintain customer relationships and provide consulting expertise
- Mentor inside Systems Engineers
- Travel within the assigned district as required
Requirements
What you’ll need- 3+ years of experience in pre-sales/sales engineering and/or completion of the SC Academy
- Understanding of data networking, security architectures, and modern cloud computing environments
- Experience delivering cybersecurity solutions that solve technical challenges and influence new business initiatives preferred
- Ability to influence and gain buy-in from key stakeholders
- Experience creating and delivering technical presentations, workshops, or technical validation engagements
- Experience selling, designing, implementing, or managing Network Security, SASE, SaaS, CNAPP and/or SOC Transformation Technologies
- Experience partnering with Customer Support functions for successful implementation and adoption
- Experience in complex sales involving long sales processes, multiple buying centers, and multi-product solutions preferred
- Proficient in English
- Willingness to travel up to 50% within the assigned district
- Must not require immigration sponsorship; the employer will not sponsor work visas for this position
