About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Collaborate with account teams to recommend and develop customer solutions within the assigned specialization area
Present to customers as the expert from practitioner to senior leadership levels
Serve as the main technical point of contact for Cortex and collaborate on RFIs/RFPs
Lead and support customer demonstrations
Scope and lead Proof of Value projects for prospective customers and partners
Drive high technical validation and Proof of Value win rates
Discuss product alignment with customer requirements and differentiation
Architect solutions that strengthen and simplify customers’ security posture
Document High-Level Design and Key Use Cases for implementation and value realization
Help customers build and develop services around Cortex solutions
Lead conversations about industry trends and emerging security landscape changes
Discuss competitive marketplace offerings and position Palo Alto Networks solutions as the best alternative
Position Palo Alto Networks or partner-delivered services for proper implementation and value realization
Initiate projects to improve team performance
Implement organizational policies and help others adopt them
Convey customer feedback to Product Management, Technical Marketing, competitor intelligence, and R&D to create requirements and deliver product features

Requirements

What you’ll need

6+ years experience in Security Operations or pre-sales/sales engineering within SIEM, SOAR, SOC, and/or XDR/EDR environments
IBM QRadar design, deployment, and/or pre-sales experience highly desirable
Experience working with customers
Problem-solving skills and a can-do attitude
Solid understanding of Security Operations Center processes
Advanced knowledge of SIEM and/or SOAR solutions
Scripting experience is a plus; Python preferred
Proficient in English
Must not require immigration sponsorship; the employer will not sponsor work visas for this position
Travel may be required to support in-person customer meetings
