About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage the overall operations and resources of the hospital and related business enterprises
- Provide the highest quality services in alignment with the Corporation’s mission
- Act as the authorized representative of the Corporation and Governing Body unless otherwise delegated by the Board
- Implement corporate goals and business objectives
- Develop positive relationships with local industry, government, healthcare providers, and the general public
- Develop and implement comprehensive outpatient care and ambulatory programs
- Report to the Division President and carry out the Corporation’s mission as interpreted by the Board of Directors
- Provide administrative oversight for the assigned facility
- Assist managers with human, operational, and financial resource management
- Accept and complete special projects within time and financial constraints
- Present data and outcomes professionally and promptly
- Serve on assigned committees
- Engage with providers and community organizations to increase public awareness and referral development
- Participate in operating and capital facility budget preparation
- Monitor departmental compliance with the operating budget
- Assist with procurement of approved capital equipment
- Contribute to strategic goals and plans for the market area
- Monitor and ensure compliance with assigned strategic goals
- Lead quality improvement, strategic planning, stewardship, problem-solving, decision-making, communication, teamwork, and organizational initiatives
Requirements
What you’ll need- Master’s Degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration or an appropriately related field, preferred
- Five (5) years’ experience in hospital leadership or equivalent in the healthcare industry
- Proven experience in corporate planning, development, management, board development, and multi-hospital operations
- Rehabilitation or Long-Term Acute Care experience, as applicable, is required
- Verbal acumen to express ideas and views effectively when speaking to the public, media, peers, donors, and colleagues
- Writing acumen for correspondence and reports
- Numerical acumen to evaluate statistical data, financial reports, and market analyses
- Ability to understand concepts and integrate them into plans of action
- Ability to formulate concepts and utilize them in strategic planning
- Ability to concentrate and focus attention for long periods
