About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Maintain responsibility for patient referrals until admission to PAM Health
  • Complete and document on-site, phone, or FAX pre-admission assessments
  • Review medical records and assess pre-certification coverage and admission criteria
  • Obtain payer pre-certification and recommend the appropriate level of care
  • Orient and educate patients, families, referral sources, and community members about facility services
  • Communicate daily with Admissions and facility CEOs to optimize census management and case-finding strategies
  • Follow up on pending cases and medical denials
  • Provide temporary market support during hospital openings, staffing transitions, census growth initiatives, and operational needs
  • Support marketing strategies and growth in admissions and revenue across assigned facilities and markets nationwide
  • Collaborate with Business Development Educators and local leadership on market action plans
  • Present PAM Health hospitals and services to referral sources
  • Identify, manage, and prospect referral sources using account management systems
  • Participate in community events, business development meetings, and operational calls
  • Educate referral sources about PAM Health programs and services
  • Maintain provider relationships and assess rehabilitation/LTACH needs
  • Schedule and provide educational in-services and presentations
  • Coordinate facility tours
  • Gather healthcare-provider information and market intelligence
  • Assist with development of new programs and services
  • Support onboarding, mentoring, and field training for business development and admissions team members
  • Maintain pending-case logs, reports, territory plans, account-management systems, and resource libraries
  • Provide updates on activities, operational barriers, and market trends
  • Promote PAM Health’s mission and values while maintaining confidentiality, professionalism, safety, and customer service

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Current licensure in nursing, respiratory therapy, physical therapy, occupational therapy, or speech and language therapy is required
  • Minimum of two years’ experience in the designated field of license
  • Degree in a health-related field from an accredited college or university preferred
  • Prior marketing and/or rehabilitation/LTACH experience preferred
  • Experience supporting multiple facilities or markets preferred
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and adapt quickly to changing operational needs
  • Knowledge of healthcare admissions processes, payer authorization requirements, and referral management
  • Ability to travel nationally for extended periods of time
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with corporate and local leadership teams
  • Reliable transportation
  • Ability to travel by air as needed
  • Ability to charge expenses and complete expense reimbursement forms
  • Extended hours and irregular schedules may be required based on operational needs
