About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for endpoint and end user computing technologies
  • Set technical direction and mentor engineering and support staff
  • Design and maintain policies, configuration standards, and best practices for device management, identity/authentication, and endpoint security
  • Gather clinical, operational, and business requirements and translate them into technical architectures and solution designs
  • Research, evaluate, and recommend tools and technologies
  • Assess existing platforms and recommend configuration or licensing changes
  • Design Intune compliance policies, configuration profiles, application deployment strategy, and conditional access architecture
  • Define Imprivata EAM architecture, deployment models, configuration standards, and tap-and-go authentication workflows
  • Evaluate and select Dell Wyse ThinOS and IGEL OS platforms and define provisioning, configuration, and lifecycle standards
  • Define patch management and vulnerability remediation policies and risk-based remediation timelines
  • Define testing strategies and pilot configurations; validate early-stage configurations hands-on and review pilot results for rollout recommendations
  • Own technical documentation, architecture diagrams, runbooks, and standard operating procedures
  • Act as final escalation point and technical advisor for complex cross-system issues
  • Provide hands-on support for complex or business-critical incidents and after-hours/on-call support as needed
  • Define digital employee experience monitoring strategy and KPIs and drive continuous improvement
  • Coach, evaluate, develop, and inspire staff
  • Promote customer service, confidentiality, safety, and PAM Health’s mission and vision

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience
  • Relevant certifications strongly preferred, such as Microsoft Certified: Endpoint Administrator Associate, CompTIA Security+, or Imprivata/IGEL platform certification
  • 5+ years of experience in endpoint engineering or architecture roles
  • Deep technical fluency in Microsoft Intune / Microsoft Endpoint Manager through direct hands-on work
  • Experience developing patch management and vulnerability remediation policy and risk-based prioritization frameworks
  • Experience evaluating, selecting, and establishing configuration standards for enterprise access management/SSO platforms; Imprivata or comparable platform preferred
  • Experience selecting and standardizing thin client platforms such as Dell Wyse ThinOS and IGEL OS
  • Experience translating business and clinical requirements into technical architecture and solution designs
  • Experience with Active Directory / Entra ID hybrid identity, domain trusts, and conditional access
  • Healthcare IT experience preferred, including understanding of clinical workflows and HIPAA/regulatory compliance considerations
  • Deep working knowledge of Microsoft Intune/Entra ID, including compliance policies, configuration profiles, conditional access, and Autopilot Zero Touch Deployment
  • Strong understanding of Imprivata EAM deployment models and enterprise SSO/authentication architecture
  • Working knowledge of Active Directory, Entra ID hybrid identity, and domain trust relationships
  • Knowledge of patch management and vulnerability remediation practices
  • Ability to design, document, and communicate complex technical architectures and workflow diagrams
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills for complex, multi-system issues
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Ability to evaluate emerging tools and technologies and make actionable recommendations
  • Ability to influence and align technical staff and solutions to established standards without direct line authority
  • Working knowledge of ITIL service management processes
  • Willingness and ability to engage hands-on for complex or business-critical incidents and provide after-hours/on-call support
