About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support one region/RVP and report to the Sr Manager, Field Training
  • Provide leadership and accountability for execution of learning processes and programs
  • Ensure the integrity and quality of certified training environments
  • Analyze and assess learning execution in markets
  • Coach and validate the retail learning journey
  • Maintain the integrity and quality of certified training environments and certified TGMs/TOPs
  • Prepare TGMs/TOPs through regular analysis, touchpoints, development calls, and in-person onboarding with guided support/coaching through first MIT
  • Maintain and validate the in-market training ecosystem and field training infrastructure
  • Partner with DROs and RVP to address execution gaps
  • Visit training environments to assess training integrity, quality, and adherence to brand standards
  • Diagnose and prescribe solutions for operational gaps with TOP/DRO partners
  • Evaluate and sign off on new training environments and recertify/decertify as appropriate
  • Monitor market and regional training execution and share insights and recommendations with GMs and DROs
  • Share feedback and trends with Sr. Manager, Divisional Training Partners
  • Validate that key initiative training is executed as designed
  • Travel approximately 75% to cafes, including overnight and out-of-state travel as needed
  • Work nights/weekends when required

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Experience as a Talent Development or Operations manager at a TGM or multi-unit level
  • 5 or more years of talent development or training experience, preferably in service or hospitality industry
  • Ability to work independently and make decisions autonomously
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills
  • Outstanding oral (particularly presentation) and written communication skills
  • High energy, flexible, and ability to travel
  • Highly collaborative spirit with ability to work effectively with diverse groups including a variety of levels & departments within the organization
  • Experience and success implementing processes and programs from introduction to realization
  • Excellent execution and follow up skills
  • Experience in presenting to groups and developing business strategies to expand current services and identify new opportunities
  • Basic computer skills required (MS Office: Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
  • Candidates must be based in NJ
  • Must live within the region the role supports
  • Ability to work nights/weekends as needed
