Construction Manager – Water/Wastewater

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Oversee infrastructure construction projects from pre-construction through closeout
- Manage project scope, schedule, budget, safety, and quality for on-time and on-budget delivery
- Lead project administration including RFIs, submittals, change management, pay applications, and closeout documentation
- Coordinate with contractors, clients, agencies, and internal disciplines to resolve issues and maintain project progress
- Support constructability reviews, value engineering, commissioning, startup, and owner training
- Maintain and review project documentation and reporting to track progress, compliance, and risks
- Promote job site safety and oversee applicable environmental compliance requirements
- Directly supervise construction managers, inspectors, resident project representatives, field engineers, and field services personnel
- Lead and mentor project staff and coordinate workloads
- Facilitate startup/commissioning activities, punch lists, and coordination with supporting teams
- Serve as a primary point of contact for owners, contractors, agencies, and stakeholders
- Lead project meetings and facilitate resolution of construction, quality, schedule, and contractual issues
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience
- 6 years of progressive construction management experience
- Certified Construction Manager (CCM) strongly preferred
- Demonstrated capability leading project teams and coordinating with contractors and stakeholders
- Working knowledge of project controls, documentation, and construction administration processes
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines
- Reliability and dependability
- Ability to work Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm with overtime as needed
