About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Assess urgent behavioral health needs, safety issues, and risk factors for clients and families
  • Develop integrated clinical formulations and safety plans with the multidisciplinary team
  • Provide crisis stabilization interventions, mental health holds, substance use interventions, and evidence-based therapies
  • Collaborate with law enforcement, emergency responders, hospitals, and community organizations on safety and crisis response
  • Use Brief Cognitive Behavioral Therapy interventions for suicide prevention and other evidence-based modalities
  • Ensure accurate and timely clinical documentation for accountability, patient safety, regulatory compliance, and reimbursement
  • Participate in Crisis Prevention and Intervention training
  • Respond to behavioral health emergencies as needed
  • Engage in reflective clinical supervision and professional development
  • Transition clients to ongoing in-home clinical services as appropriate
  • Serve as a team leader within the multidisciplinary acute crisis stabilization team
  • Report to a licensed clinical supervisor of the acute crisis stabilization team

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, or related field
  • Colorado licensure or eligibility for licensure (LCSW, LPC, LMFT, licensed clinical psychologist, or equivalent)
  • Must be able to obtain a preliminary license within six months of employment
  • All licenses must stay up-to-date and valid during employment
  • Valid driver’s license and proof of automobile insurance required
  • Experience working with culturally diverse individuals and families, trauma, group facilitation, and crisis stabilization supports
  • Knowledge and experience in mental health and substance use assessments and consultation
  • Ability to provide interventions within diverse home and community settings
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Familiarity with HIPAA, 42 CFR, protected health information, and confidentiality
  • Commitment to the organization's mission, vision, and goals
  • Ability to speak a second language (Spanish, ASL or other) highly valued
  • Traveling to clients' homes and communities is required
  • Availability for two 24-hour shifts per week, including active working hours from 9am-9pm and standby hours from 9pm-9am
