Key responsibilities & impact
  • Own assigned global areas of accounting responsibility
  • Lead cross-entity initiatives and special projects
  • Contribute to global month-end and quarter-end close deliverables
  • Help design and document global accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls
  • Support global audit and statutory reporting requirements
  • Identify and implement automation and system improvements
  • Own the accuracy and integrity of UK entity financial statements
  • Direct outside accountants on statutory reporting, tax filings, and audit requirements
  • Oversee accounts payable and enforce purchase order approval policies
  • Govern corporate credit card reconciliation and expense compliance
  • Direct lease accounting and administration
  • Lead UK entity cash forecasting and partner on intercompany funding
  • Lead payroll accounting support for UK HR
  • Monitor UK tax and regulatory changes
  • Maintain UK accounting policies and internal controls
  • Drive process improvement across UK accounting operations

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field, plus a professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent), or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including managing outside accountants or accounting staff
  • Working knowledge of UK GAAP (FRS 102), Companies House filing requirements, and HMRC tax compliance
  • Experience with intercompany accounting and group reporting across a multi-entity structure preferred
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Experience with NetSuite or similar ERP systems preferred
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to direct external accountants and partner effectively with UK HR and US-based Accounting leadership
  • Enthusiasm for adopting automation and AI tools
  • Ability to partner with cross-functional teams to drive strategic initiatives
