About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Contribute to review the design of new radio cellular features, such as rate adaptation, power control, scheduler, and interference mitigation; challenge implemented solutions and suggest improvements
Define a test strategy to evaluate end-to-end performance and ensure conformance to Open RAN and 3GPP specifications
Deliver technical reports and performance figures based on lab experiments to Product and Customer teams
Provide instructions to Automation teams
Handle and debug cellular systems issues reported from internal labs or observed in the field by customers
Design and develop system test methods to verify system performance
Lead and perform system integration and testing of RAN algorithms and radio equipment
Analyze product requirement specifications and translate requirements to task specifications
Understand customer use cases and design proper workflows for overall system performance
Deliver innovative functionalities to customers and optimize next-generation Open-RAN 5G NR base-station products
Participate in product development activities, including testing and integration of 5G L1 and L2 features and development of new testing and analysis

Requirements

What you’ll need

BSc or MSc in Electrical Engineering or related technical discipline (equivalent)
5+ years in system integration of LTE or 5G radio access solutions
Experience in development of real-time software
Experience programming with Python
Familiarity with Matlab
Hands-on experience with radio test equipment
Strong teamwork, communication and leadership skills
Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
Deep desire to understand “how things work” and convert to practical application
Love of learning complex technology and skills being very hands-on and adapting quickly to dynamic environment
A self-starter who will take responsibility and do what it takes to get the job done with minimal direction
Someone who embraces the challenges of working on programs with aggressive performance and delivery goals
A team player with an entrepreneurial spirit
