About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Assist in the design and development of transportation and municipal infrastructure projects, including roadway improvements, intersections, and corridor enhancements
  • Prepare engineering calculations, layouts, and supporting technical documentation under the direction of licensed engineers
  • Use computerized design software and other relevant tools to prepare design assignments
  • Apply applicable local, state, and federal design standards and criteria to project work
  • Collaborate with team members on design specifications and timelines
  • Perform field observation work when necessary, under minimal supervision
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited program
  • Passed Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam
  • Basic understanding of civil engineering principles related to roadway design and public infrastructure
  • 1 year of experience in transportation design preferred
  • Proficient in AutoCAD and OpenRoads preferred
  • Excellent client and team communication
