About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide support to engineers, the CADD supervisor, or project teams in preparing graphic materials, design sketches, study materials, and permit applications
  • Assist with construction phase services as directed by the project engineer
  • Assist with checking engineering calculations
  • Assist with quantity takeoffs, cost estimates, and basic design calculations
  • Assist in preparing marketing proposals
  • Assist in collecting field data and test samples
  • Assist in maintaining the technical library
  • Perform routine filing and delivery of documents
  • Perform other assigned duties

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Student status in Civil Engineering or an appropriate related discipline
  • Enrollment at an accredited college or university
  • Fundamental knowledge of engineering, mathematical, and construction concepts
  • Proficiency with computers, computer-aided design, and relevant software and hardware tools
