About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop design concepts and proposals for civil engineering transportation projects
- Create detailed drawings and specifications
- Conduct site visits and assessments
- Participate in client meetings to understand project needs and preferences
- Collaborate with engineers, architects, and other consultants
- Present designs to clients and stakeholders for feedback and approval
- Explore new design concepts and incorporate emerging technologies
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
- Minimum 4 years’ experience in Transportation Design
- Professional engineer registration in Texas, with ability to obtain registration in New Mexico and Oklahoma
- Proficiency in roadway design software such as MicroStation, GEOPAK, or OpenRoads
- High level of organization and ability to strategically prioritize tasks
- Excellent analytical skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with non-engineer decision makers
- Ability to communicate plans effectively
