About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead and manage assigned design and construction projects from initiation through closeout
- Maintain accountability for scope, schedule, budget, quality, risk, and project objectives
- Develop and implement Project Execution Plans covering delivery strategy, controls, communications, procurement, and stakeholder engagement
- Coordinate clients, design teams, consultants, contractors, authorities having jurisdiction, and other stakeholders
- Establish, monitor, and manage project schedules, milestones, risks, budgets, contracts, invoices, changes, and financial forecasts
- Lead preconstruction and planning activities, including design coordination, constructability, budgeting, value analysis, procurement planning, and phasing
- Manage procurement and contract administration, including RFQs, RFPs, selections, contracts, RFIs, submittals, payment applications, changes, and claims
- Monitor design and construction progress and coordinate corrective actions
- Lead project meetings and facilitate communication, decision-making, issue resolution, and accountability
- Prepare and present status reports, dashboards, forecasts, risk information, recommendations, and client-facing communications
- Conduct site visits and coordinate with construction management and design personnel regarding field conditions and construction issues
- Monitor safety, environmental, code, permit, and regulatory compliance requirements
- Lead project closeout and turnover, including commissioning, documentation, financial closeout, lessons learned, and client transition
- Maintain project records and compliance with Parkhill’s project management, QA/QC, contractual, and administrative requirements
- Mentor Assistant Project Managers and support professional development
- Support continuous improvement of Parkhill’s project, program, Owner’s Representative, construction management, and project controls practices
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible experience in project management, construction management, program management, design management, or related delivery of capital projects
- Proven ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams and manage project scope, schedule, and budget
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills
- Experience managing complex capital projects across public and/or private sectors
- Working knowledge of Design-Bid-Build, CMAR/CM/GC, Design-Build, Job Order Contracting, and other alternative delivery methods
- Professional certifications such as PE, AIA, PMP, CCM, or DBIA preferred
