About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Architect, build, and optimize high-performance microservices and distributed systems for mission-critical services
- Provide holistic technical leadership across greenfield software initiatives
- Establish design pattern rationale and technical quality standards
- Apply asynchronous messaging, event-driven architecture, and latency management to achieve high throughput and reliability
- Develop and integrate APIs and microservices with enterprise APIs and third-party platforms
- Maintain clean, maintainable, and well-documented code
- Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues in real time
- Use modern Agentic AI platforms such as Tab 9 and Gemini to streamline developer workflows
- Collaborate with on-site operations teams, cross-functional teams, hardware specialists, and data scientists
- Mentor junior engineers and foster continuous improvement and engineering excellence
- Build a next-generation customer fulfillment platform and optimize warehouse operations
Requirements
What you’ll need- Deep core fluency in Java 21, modern functional idioms, Spring Boot, and performance patterns
- Extensive experience with Apache Kafka, asynchronous messaging, event-driven architecture, and low-latency considerations
- Strong knowledge of SQL and NoSQL platforms, specifically PostgreSQL and Couchbase
- Hands-on experience with Azure, Docker, and Kubernetes
- Proven experience building and supporting reliable, operationally robust full-stack and distributed Java products using Agile methodologies
- Demonstrated ability to identify and apply design patterns such as CQRS and eventual consistency
- Experience practicing TDD and modeling complex problem domains
- Practical understanding of CI/CD pipelines, including Azure Pipelines, GitHub Actions, and Jenkins
- Experience or adaptability with modern Agentic AI tools such as Tab 9 and Gemini
- Previous experience contributing within globally distributed software engineering teams
- Hands-on experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Splunk, AppDynamics, or New Relic
