About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Maintain and evolve Expo infrastructure, ensuring smooth upgrades and optimal configuration as the company scales
Leverage React Native's New Architecture and latest tooling, including React Profiler, to identify and eliminate performance bottlenecks
Build and maintain iOS-specific features such as App Clips, Live Activities, and Widgets
Work with partners at Expo and Software Mansion by testing new feature releases and providing feedback
Create tooling and infrastructure that improves developer velocity and code quality across the mobile team
Establish monitoring and observability systems for app performance, release health, and user experience metrics
Collaborate with product engineers and infrastructure engineers so infrastructure decisions enable feature development
Own and continuously improve the weekly app release process from build to store deployment
Contribute to an ambitious, fast-moving team and attend company parties

Requirements

What you’ll need

3+ years of experience building mobile applications with React Native
Experience with Expo and managing mobile build/deployment infrastructure
Strong understanding of New Architecture, React Compiler, and modern performance optimization techniques
Track record of improving developer experience using CI/CD automation, observability systems (such as Sentry), and infrastructure tooling
A builder’s mindset — you enjoy automating, optimizing, and empowering teams through great tooling
Deep sense of ownership and dedication to delivering ambitious outcomes on fast timelines
A collaborative, pragmatic approach — you care about outcomes more than ego
