About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Oversee coordination of bridge and permanent housing for homeless households
- Support and improve Atlanta CoC-wide shelter access, outcomes, and performance
- Facilitate cross-agency and cross-system communication, coordination, service access, outcome tracking, and accountability for shelter programs
- Directly oversee implementation and performance of Rapid Resolution work throughout the CoC
- Orient shelters toward exit-focused environments through diversion, proactive problem solving, and exit planning
- Manage Rapid Resolution funding and/or contracts
- Facilitate daily briefings to track client progress and outcomes, troubleshoot, and identify emerging issues
- Train and support emergency shelter partners and staff on connecting clients to appropriate exit pathways
- Conduct follow-up with internal staff and system partners regarding rapid-exit metrics and program goals
- Collaborate with project managers, CoC partners, and community stakeholders to improve shelter coordination and system efficiency
- Connect housing-ready shelter residents and staff with housing resources
- Provide crisis shelter coordination across the CoC shelter system
- Lead crisis shelter operations during events such as inclement winter weather
- Engage City, County, and CoC leadership in emergency shelter responses
- Establish and manage supply chains for crisis resources including cots, blankets, and food
- Coordinate temporary crisis shelter spaces and cross-agency staffing/volunteers
- Represent the CoC Lead Agency in community collaborations, meetings, and planning
- Improve diversion programming and supports
- Maintain and iterate CoC shelter service standards and support partner implementation of best practices
- Lead a CoC-wide shelter transformation and improvement workgroup
- Facilitate check-ins with shelter case management and operations teams
- Monitor outreach project data, track shelter outcomes, and propose solutions
- Update shelter program models for the Atlanta CoC
- Use HMIS to monitor anticipated needs and make projections
- Coordinate with the Coordinated Entry project manager regarding documentation, bed availability, and shelter-access bottlenecks
- Assist with prioritizing individuals under CoC policies
- Provide customer service to Continuum Partners and support a transparent system
- Support housing committees and work groups
- Facilitate case conferencing to move individuals into housing
- Align agencies receiving related outreach funding with the CoC
- Ensure cross-disciplinary teamwork and provide coverage across verticals as needed
- Represent Partners for HOME in community meetings, committees, and work groups
Requirements
What you’ll need- Individuals who have lived experience with homelessness strongly encouraged to apply
- High energy and a passion for the CoC’s mission and goals
- Previous experience working with the homeless population or housing preferable
- Skilled in Excel and have experience working in HMIS
- Proficiency in Power BI or other data management tools is a plus
- Familiar with homelessness outreach, diversion, CoC and/or encampment outreach
- Strong initiative and curiosity
- Ability to work collaboratively with multiple disciplines
- Experience leading work groups and trainings
- Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills
- Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills
- Ability to excel in an entrepreneurial, fast-paced, diverse, results-oriented environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines
- Excellent verbal communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills to effectively work with a broad spectrum of stakeholders
- Professional, precise, and persuasive writing and editing skills
