About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provision, configure, administer, monitor, and maintain Microsoft Azure infrastructure supporting the RHTP environment
- Support Azure subscriptions, resource groups, networking, private endpoints, DNS, storage, Key Vault, monitoring, logging, application hosting, integration services, and other cloud resources
- Support infrastructure dependencies for Microsoft Fabric, Power Platform, Azure DevOps, application services, and data integration workloads
- Monitor platform health, availability, performance, capacity, security, and cost; proactively identify operational issues
- Troubleshoot and resolve Tier 3 incidents involving cloud infrastructure and platform services
- Coordinate and execute approved maintenance and production changes
- Participate in incident response, problem management, disaster recovery, and business continuity activities
- Maintain infrastructure configurations, operational documentation, diagrams, inventories, and support procedures
- Design and implement secure, scalable, highly available Azure infrastructure
- Implement Azure landing zones, resource naming, tagging, Azure Policy, RBAC, privileged access, network segmentation, logging, monitoring, and cost management
- Implement secure connectivity between Azure, Microsoft Fabric, Power Platform, external systems, and approved partner environments
- Support Microsoft Entra ID integration, managed identities, workload identities, service principals, certificates, secrets, and privileged-access controls
- Implement infrastructure-as-code and automated deployment practices
- Support CI/CD and Azure DevOps infrastructure and deployment processes
- Implement monitoring and security telemetry using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Application Insights, Microsoft Defender, and related platforms
- Participate in architecture, security, vulnerability, configuration, and operational-readiness reviews
- Support backup, recovery, resiliency, and disaster-recovery capabilities
- Assist with cloud capacity planning, consumption monitoring, optimization, reservations, and cost forecasting
- Participate directly with implementation partners during design and implementation of the RHTP technology platform
- Perform hands-on implementation and develop internal operational knowledge
- Review vendor-developed infrastructure configurations, deployment processes, documentation, architecture, and procedures
- Develop runbooks, support procedures, monitoring requirements, recovery procedures, and technical documentation
- Participate in design reviews, implementation planning, testing, production-readiness reviews, and deployment activities
- Deliver assigned projects on schedule and communicate risks, dependencies, resource constraints, and technical issues
- Provide technical recommendations and designs supporting RHTP objectives
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- High School graduate or equivalent
- Minimum of five (5) years experience in some combination of Azure Cloud System/Server Engineering or Network Infrastructure
- Ability to physically come into the office as needed
- Ability to install, configure, and maintain server hardware, operating systems, and software
- In-depth knowledge of Linux, Microsoft Fabric, Microsoft Azure and related cloud platforms, Power Platform, application integration, data services, identity, networking, monitoring, security, and business continuity/disaster recovery
- Ability to coordinate integrated network operation efforts, IT planning, security, and other technical areas at assigned data centers
- Ability to identify, diagnose, and repair complex problems affecting system availability and performance
- Ability to multitask and perform administrative and engineering tasks independently
- Ability to collaborate in a team environment or work independently
- Ability to provide mentorship and knowledge transfer
- Effective oral and written communication
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field preferred
- Access to and use of confidential healthcare information or protected health information requires compliance training and signing a confidentiality statement
