About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead complex system and service-oriented backend design using C#/.NET and Angular/React
Define technical approaches and select appropriate tools and frameworks
Manage database schemas, data models, and secure, scalable cloud infrastructure
Use and review AI coding tools for writing, testing, and maintaining code
Maintain CI/CD pipelines with quality gates, automated testing strategies, and deployment rollout strategies
Lead migration of legacy applications to modern technologies and infrastructure
Define SLOs and SLIs and use distributed tracing and telemetry to diagnose system-wide issues
Create documentation and system boundaries for safe extension by people and AI tools
Lead technical conversations, explain trade-offs, and work with product teams to shape delivery phases
Break down complex problems into well-defined tickets while balancing speed with security and compliance
Mentor engineers across experience levels
Help establish team standards for safe AI usage, review, and knowledge sharing

Requirements

What you’ll need

Minimum of 7 years of software engineering experience
Extensive commercial experience with C#/.NET
Production experience with Angular or React
At least one production-grade system designed, shipped, and supported that can be discussed in detail
Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud platform
Experience with Linux, containers, and infrastructure as code
Daily working experience with AI coding tools
Willingness to work in an agentic delivery model
Experience managing client-facing delivery
Ability to explain trade-offs and deliver difficult messages early
Experience in financial services
Commercial Real Estate or Credit Markets experience is a strong advantage
Excellent written and spoken communication skills
Comfort working in an Agile team across time zones
High discipline to manage time independently and maintain close contact with a distributed team
