About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Contribute to the design, development, and evaluation of machine learning models for AI products, AI services, and core ML models
Work on subprojects from the ongoing ML product roadmap, including model improvements using novel techniques
Partner with MLOps and platform teams to build and improve ML pipelines
Participate in experimental design, analysis, design reviews, technical forums, and journal clubs
Collaborate with scientists, engineers, and product managers to translate clinical needs into scalable ML solutions
Work on active projects impacting PathAI’s technical roadmap and business goals

Requirements

What you’ll need

Enrolled in an M.S. or Ph.D. program in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Biomedical Engineering, with a focus on Computer Vision and Machine Learning
Strong programming skills in Python
Hands-on experience with ML frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow
Understanding of machine learning and/or computer vision fundamentals
Excellent communication skills
Desire to work in a highly collaborative, cross-functional environment
Passion to improve patient lives
Previous experience with complex open-source projects and AI-based products preferred
Participation in student organizations and/or leadership activities preferred
Contributions to AI/ML publications preferred
Commitment to a 3–6 month internship/co-op; 4–6 months preferred
