About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Solve complex problems with code
- Build new features for internal and external users and refactor existing features
- Work across systems, processes, and technologies, including low-level systems and user interfaces
- Drive application platform architecture in alignment with team needs and the product roadmap
- Collaborate with product, design, machine learning, and infrastructure teams
- Uphold engineering standards and ensure code is reviewed, tested, and integrated
- Mentor, learn, and share knowledge with team members
- Take responsibility for code quality produced by the individual and the team
- Contribute to a SaaS platform used in clinical trial workflows, ensuring reliability, data integrity, and compliance
- Collaborate with clinical, QA, and regulatory teams to meet validation expectations and support inspection readiness
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor of Science or an advanced degree in Computer Science or equivalent
- Some experience working across the full software development lifecycle using Python
- Experience and skills in designing and building Python-based FastAPI or Django applications
- Foundation in data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented design
- Ability to collaborate with a distributed team and work autonomously on projects
- Preferred: 2–4 years of full life cycle development experience
- Preferred: Cloud Platform experience (AWS) and knowledge of an IaC framework
- Preferred: Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools such as GitLab CI
- Preferred: Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes
- Preferred: Problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, agile environment
