About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Own end-to-end design of features, including user research, ideation, prioritization, and high-fidelity mockups
Solve business and user goals through design thinking and user empathy
Collaborate with Engineering to ensure high-quality final products
Establish the company brand and drive product growth
Design a new mobile app from scratch for The Path Therapy product
Build a comprehensive design system incorporating colors, typography, grid, and core components
Future-proof the design system for internationalization and accessibility
Take responsibility for design integrity and raise the quality bar across the company
Deliver designs for 10+ major features per quarter
Help prioritize the roadmap and scope implementation with engineers
Conduct user research with active and churned users 3–6 times per year, speaking with 10+ users per batch
Present research findings to the team and use insights to prioritize the roadmap and create solutions
Leverage AI design tools for ideation and develop human-centered AI interactions

Requirements

What you’ll need

Expert in Figma for building full design mocks end-to-end
Expertise in UX, imagery, typography, iconography, and animation
Portfolio showing exceptional visual communication and design thinking for prominent mobile consumer products touching millions of customers
Track record upholding standards in lean teams and partnering with Engineering to polish implementation without QA oversight
History shipping high-volume work and hitting deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Ability to make strategic roadmap prioritization decisions and identify what not to build
Understanding of current and future AI trends and AI-driven interfaces
Ability to work in the office three days per week in San Francisco
Currently eligible to work in the United States
Website/design portfolio required
