Key responsibilities & impact
  • Serve as Clinical Administrator under DC DBH Chapter 30, overseeing clinic affairs while preserving responsibilities reserved to the psychiatrist
  • Supervise 7–9 clinicians through required individual supervision, case consultation, coaching, and documented feedback
  • Provide evidence-based assessments, treatment planning, and psychotherapy
  • Complete timely documentation and care coordination
  • Review notes and treatment records for clinical quality, medical necessity, and applicable requirements
  • Provide appropriate co-signatures and follow up on corrections
  • Support risk assessment, safety planning, and high-risk consultation
  • Coordinate escalation and backup coverage during sessions and absences
  • Monitor documentation, access, service quality, productivity, and outcomes
  • Support hiring, onboarding, staff development, evaluations, and corrective coaching
  • Coordinate clinic workflows, policies, grievances, audits, reporting, and certification readiness with the psychiatrist, leadership, HR, Quality Assurance, and billing

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Active independent DC clinical license qualifying the individual as a Chapter 30 Clinical Administrator
  • Appropriate qualifications for assigned supervision
  • DC LICSW required to clinically supervise LGSWs providing psychotherapy
  • Master's degree or higher in a relevant clinical field, consistent with licensure requirements
  • At least three years of behavioral health experience, including direct treatment
  • Demonstrated clinical supervision and program operations experience
  • Strong clinical judgment, documentation, communication, organization, initiative, and follow-through
  • Ability to provide direct, supportive feedback and address performance concerns
  • Experience with FSMHC operations and DC DBH Chapter 30 preferred
  • Experience supervising graduate-level clinicians preferred
  • Experience with Medicaid documentation, quality improvement, and accreditation preferred
  • Experience serving children, adolescents, adults, and families preferred
