About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop and manage workforce development programs supporting Pavion's current and future technician staffing needs
- Establish and maintain relationships with trade schools, technical colleges, community colleges, apprenticeship programs, and workforce development organizations
- Represent Pavion at career fairs, school events, classroom presentations, networking events, and other recruiting and educational activities
- Partner with school administrators, instructors, career placement teams, and program directors to develop long-term talent pipelines
- Identify opportunities to establish internships, apprenticeships, job-shadowing programs, and entry-level career pathways
- Collaborate with Recruiting to develop and maintain a pipeline of qualified entry-level and early-career technicians
- Partner with Operations and Field Leadership to understand technical workforce needs, skill requirements, and geographic hiring priorities
- Educate students and graduates about career opportunities within Pavion
- Coordinate school visits, facility tours, technician demonstrations, and initiatives introducing students to technical careers
- Develop and maintain career pathways for technician professional growth and advancement
- Identify training, mentorship, and development opportunities with experienced technicians and field leaders
- Track workforce development activities, school partnerships, candidate pipelines, hires, and program outcomes
- Develop and maintain program goals, timelines, milestones, and performance metrics
- Provide regular leadership updates on initiatives, partnerships, pipeline activity, and results
- Expand workforce development efforts into new geographic markets based on business growth and staffing needs
- Collaborate with Human Resources and Recruiting to improve technician retention, engagement, and career progression
- Build relationships across Pavion and serve as a resource for technician workforce development initiatives
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, Education, Workforce Development, Communications, or a related field preferred
- 3+ years of experience in program management, workforce development, recruiting, technical training, operations, or a related field
- Experience working with trade schools, technical colleges, apprenticeship programs, or workforce development organizations preferred
- Experience within the security, low-voltage, fire alarm, AV, structured cabling, telecommunications, data center, electrical, or other skilled-trades industries strongly preferred
- Strong relationship-building and networking skills with the ability to develop partnerships at all levels
- Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills
- Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives and priorities
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with Recruiting, Human Resources, Operations, and Field Leadership
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to develop creative and practical workforce solutions
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to learn and utilize recruiting, project management, and workforce management systems
- Ability and willingness to travel to Pavion locations, trade schools, career fairs, and other workforce development events as needed
