About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Reconcile all client-held funds accounts for Paylocity
- Perform daily bank reconciliation for payroll, tax, and benefit accounts
- Review and validate deposits, withdrawals, and other bank-related transactions
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies between bank statements, cash balance accounts, and outstanding items
- Monitor daily and weekly cash balances by client and across the total client base
- Ensure remittances are made timely and cash collections are recorded and cleared
- Make cash adjustments based on reports
- Collaborate with internal partners to coordinate system fixes
- Work with the bank on returned items and inquiries
- Report payroll, tax, and benefit exceptions for review and resolution
- Reconcile incoming wires and ACHs for payroll and tax accounts
- Review and reconcile client credits
- Provide proof of payments to the Tax Department
- Assist with monthly financial reconciliations
- Monitor incoming CFA team email accounts and ensure timely responses
- Suggest and write procedures to improve processes
- Support continued process improvement
- Assist with new business initiatives
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting preferred
- High school diploma required
- 2-5 years’ experience in payroll service or banking operations strongly desired
- MasterTax, WEX, or CobraPoint experience is a plus
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong team and individual work ethic preferred
- Strong communication skills and problem-solving ability
- Proficiency in Microsoft applications, including Excel and Access
- High level of integrity
- Available five days per week during designated work hours
- Ability to sit for extended periods, typically 7-8 hours a day
- Ability to operate computer and phone systems and type
- Must work within the U.S.
