About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes for assigned markets
  • Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, prepayments, and accounting adjustments
  • Review and analyse profit and loss accounts and balance sheet movements
  • Ensure compliance with group accounting policies, local statutory requirements, internal controls, and governance requirements
  • Prepare management reporting packages and financial analyses
  • Maintain balance sheet integrity through reconciliations and resolve reconciling items and unusual transactions
  • Manage indirect tax compliance, including VAT/GST and local tax filings
  • Support corporate income tax compliance, tax provisioning, reporting, audits, and regulatory inquiries
  • Manage transfer pricing recharge processes and intercompany charges and reconciliations
  • Prepare annual statutory financial statements and disclosures
  • Coordinate statutory filings and local and group audit activities
  • Act as a key contact for external auditors and internal audit teams
  • Collaborate with Commercial Finance, Payroll, AP, AR, Treasury, Tax, and other finance functions
  • Provide accounting guidance to stakeholders and build relationships with advisors, auditors, and service providers
  • Identify process, control, and reporting improvements
  • Drive automation initiatives and support finance transformation projects and system enhancements
  • Promote best practices and standardisation across markets and entities

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
  • Previous experience in financial accounting, statutory accounting, or a similar role
  • Strong understanding of month-end close and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Experience with indirect taxes (VAT/GST) and corporate tax compliance
  • Experience supporting external and internal audits
  • Knowledge of IFRS and statutory reporting requirements
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP systems
  • Experience managing multiple markets or legal entities (desirable)
  • Knowledge of transfer pricing and intercompany accounting (desirable)
  • Exposure to finance transformation, automation, or continuous improvement initiatives (desirable)
  • Experience with SAGE Intacct, NetSuite, Dynamics, or similar finance systems (desirable)
  • Must be legally authorised to work in the current country of residence without visa sponsorship or additional work authorisation
  • Able to pass credit, education, verification, sanction and enforcement, employment, criminal, and ID checks
