About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Create, proofread, and propose clear, user-friendly English UX copy for the PayPay app
- Write concise English microcopy following voice, tone, and writing guidelines
- Collaborate with engineers, product managers, designers, stakeholders, and other UX writers to improve UI copy and user flows
- Maintain consistency across products by contributing to and improving writing guidelines
- Identify opportunities to improve UX writing processes and workflows, including through AI
- Work alongside other UX writers with support from the UX Writing Team Lead and Manager
- Work on a diverse range of features and develop comprehensive product knowledge
Requirements
What you’ll need- Native-level English proficiency with the ability to write clear and natural English copy
- Strong Japanese communication skills, written and spoken, sufficient to discuss detailed and nuanced topics with team members
- Either Japanese-to-English translation experience (minimum 3 years), Japanese-to-English localization experience (minimum 2 years), or English UX/content writing experience (minimum 2 years)
- Basic knowledge of websites and mobile apps (iOS/Android) preferred
- Basic user flow and UI design knowledge preferred
