About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Act as the first point of contact for employees and managers for Human Resources duties
  • Support the full recruitment cycle, including job advertisements, sourcing, screening, interviewing, offers, and background checks
  • Facilitate onboarding and new hire orientation
  • Interpret HR policies and advise employees and managers on HR processes and issues
  • Resolve HR issues and consult with HR Manager/Chief People Officer on complex matters
  • Support benefits administration, open enrollment, COBRA, invoice review, and employee inquiries
  • Explain and administer workers’ compensation, disability, and leave programs
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal employment laws
  • Monitor regulatory changes and draft compliant employee handbook policies
  • Perform compensation analysis and advise company leaders on market competitiveness
  • Participate in cross-functional HR projects
  • Develop and maintain onboarding and termination reports for HR leadership
  • Train managers and employees on HR processes
  • Facilitate employee changes in HR systems, including job titles, salaries, and organizational changes

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field required
  • 1+ years HR experience, preferably in professional services environment
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Demonstrated experience applying and interpreting human resources policies and procedures
  • Knowledge of recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, compensation administration, benefits administration, workers’ compensation, disability, leave programs, and employment law compliance
