About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Design, develop and maintain enterprise data platforms, reusable data products, AI-ready datasets and agents
  • Build scalable, reusable data architectures, data models, integration patterns and automation capabilities
  • Establish common enterprise patterns across PCL applications and support repeatable DevOps and CI/CD processes
  • Partner with application teams to prepare, structure and expose business data for Copilot, AI agents and analytics solutions
  • Develop shared platform capabilities for business-focused Copilot, agent and analytics experiences
  • Support Microsoft Foundry and related AI development platforms, including administration, configuration, skill development and agent enablement
  • Assist in creating and communicating technical standards, templates and repeatable delivery patterns
  • Ensure data and AI platform work aligns with governance, security, privacy, architecture and development standards
  • Create and execute test cases and documentation
  • Support deployment and operationalization of enterprise data and AI capabilities
  • Estimate technical effort, plan assigned work and participate in Agile delivery activities
  • Mentor team members on modern data platforms, AI development tools, architecture patterns and delivery practices
  • Research, evaluate and recommend tools and practices to strengthen PCL’s data and AI platform capabilities

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Postsecondary degree or diploma in computer science, information technology, software development or a related discipline
  • 3+ years of progressive experience in a related field
  • Proven experience with enterprise data architecture and data modeling
  • Proven experience with relational databases and SQL development
  • Proven experience with cloud-based data and analytics platforms
  • Proven experience with data integration, APIs and solution architecture
  • Proven experience with software development lifecycle (SDLC) practices
  • Proven experience with GitHub, Azure DevOps or equivalent development platforms
  • Ability to translate business requirements into scalable enterprise data solutions
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
  • Enthusiastic, self-motivated and eager to learn
  • Able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Preferred: experience with enterprise data governance, data quality and stewardship
  • Preferred: experience with Microsoft Fabric or comparable modern data platforms such as Databricks and Snowflake
  • Preferred: experience with Microsoft Foundry, Copilot Studio or similar AI development platforms
  • Preferred: knowledge of AI agent development and orchestration
  • Preferred: experience with Python and modern automation frameworks
  • Preferred: experience with Power BI semantic models and enterprise analytics solutions
  • Preferred: familiarity with Copilot Studio, Azure AI Services or similar AI technologies
  • Preferred: experience developing reusable architecture patterns, standards and frameworks
  • Preferred: passion for mentoring others and helping grow organizational capabilities
