About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Assist with updating drawings and specifications
- Document field records for quality, production, labor, and materials
- Assist with inventory and tracking time sheets, costs, and quantities
- Prepare quantity takeoffs
- Assist in monitoring the quality plan, including conducting quality inspections, deficiencies and issue management
- Conduct basic safety inspections and training, identify and correct safety hazards, and lead by example in safety practices and procedures
- Assist the project team with subtrade partner management, including managing requests for information, shop drawings, changes and billings and workforce planning
- Assist with schedules and monitoring performance
- Assist in creating construction sequence and work plans
- Perform construction surveying and layout, including as-built documentation
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with all stakeholders
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in engineering, construction management, architecture, trade or a related field
- 1 year of progressive experience as field coordinator is preferred
- Ability to learn and apply basic construction principles, specifications, and procedures
- Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to establish and maintain working relationships with stakeholders including supervisors and subtrade partners
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite with a strong aptitude for adopting new technology
- Experience with Autodesk Civil 3D, AutoCAD and Revit considered an asset
