About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Review, approve, and perform quality assurance on Level I analysts’ transactions
- Train Level I analysts
- Act as second in command to the Distributions Team Lead during their absence
- Process distribution types, including loans and excess contribution transactions, accurately
- Perform quality reviews of all processed transactions
- Review and prepare manual investment transactions for timely disbursement
- Evaluate, approve, and process retirement account requests from clients
- Research historical account activity and resolve account-related issues
- Interact with internal and external vendors and partners
- Follow up with partners by phone or email
- Monitor department email boxes, workflow queues, and Salesforce cases
- Provide process-improvement feedback to streamline workflows and increase department efficiency
- Maintain working knowledge of IRS retirement-account rules and tax codes
- Complete other assigned duties and projects
Requirements
What you’ll need- 2+ years of retirement industry experience required
- Financial degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education or work experience
- Experience with Relius and Salesforce preferred
- Self-starter, highly self-motivated, and able to work independently with minimal instruction
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to prioritize work and execute tasks under pressure
- Ability to run reports in Salesforce and Relius and analyze data
- Ability to meet daily deadlines for timely processing of disbursements
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive client information
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Access
- Keyboarding proficiency, internet savvy, and experience using web-based systems
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Professional customer interaction and inquiry handling
- Strong analytical foundation, sound judgment, and ability to solve complex problems independently
- Flexibility to work overtime and varied shifts as requested
- Ability to meet remote-work requirements: uninterrupted virtual workspace, family care during business hours, and internet speed of 50 Mbps or better
