About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Update and maintain the computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
  • Ensure plant and equipment inspections and work orders are fit for purpose and opened and closed according to maintenance strategies, policies, and operational standards
  • Maintain clear schedules for major equipment maintenance and cost accruals
  • Monitor work order completion rates and address non-compliances
  • Ensure correct SAP coding and revisions are used for work-order planning and management
  • Manage defects according to defect-management policies and procedures
  • Maintain SAP component removal and installation functions
  • Keep SAP equipment master data current
  • Communicate and consult across operational, production, and maintenance departments
  • Complete weekly maintenance plans and lead their presentation to Maintenance and Production teams
  • Ensure compliance with purchasing policies and expenditure authority
  • Manage warranties through SAP
  • Maximize equipment reliability through root-cause analysis of delays and component failures
  • Engage Production and Maintenance teams to operate and maintain equipment within Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) strategies
  • Champion safety policies and tools for employees and contractors
  • Foster teamwork and effective communication
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Relevant maintenance qualifications (Electrical or Mechanical)
  • Formal training with SAP and/or computerized maintenance planning systems
  • 98% pass rate on SAP eLearning Training in SuccessFactors
  • ICAM and/or RCA certificate of competence
  • 5 years of experience in maintenance of mine equipment
  • Proficiency in planning and supervising people
  • Ability to glean actions from equipment reliability trending
  • Knowledge of safety inspections and completing JSEA’s, risk assessments, and permits
  • Ability to identify continuous improvement opportunities
  • Proficiency in component forecasting and budgeting
  • Proficiency with Excel, Word, MS Project, and email
  • Ability to work various shifts, including days, evenings, nights, rotating schedules, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to meet stated physical requirements, including lifting 10–50 lbs., climbing, prolonged standing/seated work, and working in extreme conditions
  • Ability to wear required protective footwear, hearing and eye protection, and other PPE required by the company and MSHA
