Senior People Partner

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Partner strategically and operationally with Commercial and Operations leadership and teams
- Align People initiatives with operational goals
- Own and manage end-to-end onboarding and offboarding frameworks across operating hubs
- Design, roll out, and action-plan eNPS surveys and engagement check-ins
- Deliver actionable engagement insights to leaders
- Manage mental health partner relationships
- Lead corporate social investment initiatives
- Curate wellness activities
- Oversee mobility, cross-border transfers, and relocation processes across South Africa, Mauritius, Kenya, and beyond
- Own People metrics, analytics, and reporting on turnover, engagement, and retention
- Provide data-backed recommendations to management
- Support the full employee lifecycle from attraction and onboarding through performance management, retention, and offboarding
Requirements
What you’ll need- 5+ years of broad HR / People Partnering experience covering the full employee lifecycle
- Strong foundation in regional labor practices and employment dynamics within South Africa, Kenya, or Mauritius
- Proven experience managing HR data, employee analytics, and presenting insights using HRIS tools
- Experience managing employee mobility, visa/permit processes, or regional relocations
- Proactive mindset and ability to navigate ambiguous, fast-paced environments
- Strong analytical thinking and ability to turn engagement data into action plans
- Demonstrated accountability and end-to-end ownership of People projects and operational programs
- Exceptional interpersonal and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to build trust and influence team leaders across Commercial and Operations
- Empathic listening and advocacy for employee wellbeing and culture
- Fluency in English, written and spoken
- Proven experience in Fintech or a fast-moving Tech environment
- Hybrid role based out of Cape Town, Nairobi, or Mauritius
- French speaking skills are advantageous
- Early-stage or scale-up startup experience is advantageous
