About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Oversee development of proposals, bids, quotations, and other customer-facing service documents
- Identify and onboard new electrical contractors
- Coordinate internal resources and vendors for execution of multiple projects
- Partner with Procurement leaders to assess vendors, negotiate pricing, and address product or service concerns
- Manage changes to project scope, schedule, and costs
- Lead and supervise ESS Field Service Technicians to safely and efficiently service customers and meet SLAs
- Assist with resource planning and review technicians’ daily schedules
- Manage the service partner network through recruitment, training, quality control, and audits
- Perform technical work, including on-the-job training and complex Level 2 technical jobs
- Act as the first level of escalation for field service technicians and service partners
- Collaborate with Sales, Business Operations, Field Operations, Procurement, customers, and internal stakeholders
- Report to the Director of ESS Field Services
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a Field Service technical role
- Minimum 1 year experience in a leadership role is preferred
- Renewables experience is preferred
- Technical experience in power electronics or a related field
- Understanding of electrical safe work practices
- Strong leadership, independent thinking, organizational, and planning skills
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills
- Ability to use Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, TEAMS, etc.)
- Experience with Salesforce, CRMs, or another Field Service Management platform is preferred
- Must be able to comply with OSHA Standards
- Comfortable working outdoors and on job sites in public areas
- Able to travel up to 20% as needed
