About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide vocational support for team members and Human Services staff
  • Scan documents and complete file reviews
  • Assist team members with training and job skill development
  • Follow up on team member goals and provide triage support

  • Provide daily feedback and case notes
  • Collaborate with Vocational Services Specialists, supervisors, trainers, and other stakeholders
  • Assess for accommodations and provide first-line support
  • Monitor client progress through discussions with team members, specialists, and supervisors
  • Provide intensive one-on-one job training assistance
  • Assist with crisis intervention
  • Assist with CIP goal completion and Action Plans after progressive discipline
  • Complete employment verifications
  • Assist with background evaluation and investigation support
  • Maintain positive relationships with work-related professionals
  • Obtain baseline information regarding work speeds, behaviors, and physical abilities/tolerances
  • Assist with new-hire orientation and training support
  • Occasionally monitor vacant caseloads during Vocational Services Specialists’ absence
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment
  • Promote Peckham’s vision, values, and services
  • Assist in maintaining organization-wide quality standards
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High School diploma
  • 1-2 years of work experience in Human Services
  • Must pass and maintain security background checks
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software such as Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Proficiency in, or ability to learn, SharePoint software
  • Experience with Workday, Microsoft Teams, or other electronic file systems preferred
  • Degree or education in vocational rehabilitation, social work, psychology, or a related field preferred
  • Behavior Management Training, Therapeutic Physical Intervention Training, and First Aid/CPR training preferred
  • Certified Employment Support Professional and Mental Health First Aid certifications preferred, or able to obtain upon employment
  • Ability to communicate effectively in both verbal and written forms
  • Experience in mentoring, coaching, and giving feedback
  • Ability to manage time effectively
  • Ability to solve problems and work successfully on a team
