About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage assigned delinquency and collection activities across assigned multifamily properties
- Monitor delinquent accounts and maintain accurate, current reports
- Track progress against approved collection and delinquency targets
- Contact residents about past-due balances, document communications and commitments, and follow up on unresolved accounts
- Review accounts for incorrect charges, payments, credits, and other discrepancies; coordinate corrections
- Communicate regularly with onsite and regional teams
- Coordinate notices or actions requiring local delivery or management approval
- Prepare documentation and coordinate with legal or eviction service providers for referred accounts
- Identify rent assistance resources and coordinate with residents and property teams
- Support resolution of post-move-out balances and coordinate with collections agencies
- Identify recurring issues and process gaps; report recommendations to the Central Services Program Manager
- Apply company policies and approved procedures consistently and escalate compliance concerns
- Contribute process improvements during and after the pilot to reduce site-staff administrative burden and create a scalable collections model
Requirements
What you’ll need- Experience with multifamily resident accounts, rent collection, delinquency management, or a related function preferred
- Strong organization, attention to detail, communication, and follow-through
- Ability to work across multiple properties and maintain accurate records
- Comfort using property management systems and reports to identify issues and monitor results
- Process analysis and redesign
- Data-driven decision making
- Written and verbal communication
- Compliance with applicable federal, state, and local laws, including Fair Housing requirements
